  • Each stone with a number on it belongs to a chain of that size.

(I recommend opening the sgf in an editor such as Sabaki, then you can add stones with the edit tool and the existing labels will not disappear)

Puzzle 2: “Odd vs even”

Not really what I was talking about, but a nice game anyway.
Too hard for me though: I couldn’t even place a single number!
I looked for the longest chains, but there were still too many options.
I guess it would be easier if there were arrows instead of dots, indicating the direction of the increasing

Congrats!
Any hints on how to start?

I didn’t take the time to solve it but I made some simple observations:

  • Next to a black dot, one of the numbers has to be 1, 2, 3 or 4.
  • The last four numbers on line 4 are consecutive.

Combining those two observations allows to place numbers on line 4.

Thanks!

I don’t remember precisely how I started, but I mostly filled out middle pencil marks starting with places with chained dots and it kept progressing?

I did the same, but I was lost between too many possibilities.
Maybe I overlooked some constraints. I’ll try again.
