I think it was a good game.
I think you had a good position, but what was missing was knowing when to play away from your opponents moves.
Your opponent managed to get you to defend some areas that you could make points in before defending their weak groups.
So I think you just need to take initiative to attack first and then defend territory after.
A couple of examples:
Ask white how they’re going to live on the top left, and then you might naturally swallow their invading stone.
Save this stone after white decides if they can live on the top left. There isn’t really a good Atari for white, because the two white stones are low on liberties.
Don’t worry about these points when white has two weak groups, just keep the two weak groups separate, and defend the territory later.
And if defending, don’t just take one stone that can be sacrificed.
You can defend at A or B way later, but just keep the groups separated
Similarly you can defend these points on the side later when white can show that they know how to survive in the centre.
There might be a few more questions to ask around the middle here. If you get a couple of extra black stones you might be able to cut off white’s stone.
Probably not guaranteed but could be interesting to try.
And I would probably take A over B in this situation if I had to pick one
I think all in all a good game, but just being a bit sharper and not responding to all of your opponents moves.
Take initiative and make a bigger threat, and then come back to respond to the opponent.
It’s not always easy to find the timing to do it, but it’s good to learn to do it generally.
