I would really like to have someone give me a small handful of things to focus on in my games. I feel like I am stuck and cannot progress.

You will likely get a lot more out of a Correspondence game. It allows people to take their time, share thoughts as you play, and a live time environment is often counterproductive to learning. It is ideal for learning. Just my two cents
