So my advice is don’t resign when you’re winning! Capturing is only a means to an end. The aim is territory. Despite losing 13 pieces to 0 you still had just as much territory as your opponent and with the komi of 5.5pts you were winning. I’m just guessing that you resigned because of the lost pieces but it is an excellent example of the need to focus on territory.
