you do explain some things i hadn’t thought of before. but then again in hind sight everything looks easy, i guess sealing up corners if my opponent had their way would have never happened , but then why if i was 25 % ahead at some point any point, did i not receivce one above the graphs marks for any of my moves not one? right from the get go, i was wrong to do what i was doing? so the graphs say – this is the frustrating part to understand, that others seem to get quite easily.
oh well thanks for the info i still about every others game resign instead of passing out since even after four or five passes and the other person keeps racking up points it still won’t end
This chart shows that you (white) have been ahead for almost the entire game. Around move 50 you were ahead by more than 60 points. Which means: With perfect play from that point on white would have won with a margin of 60 points.
(Note: It is points! Not percentages)
ok i don’t see that i see a curve line going downward from the start if i had points would they not show above the zero line ? just a another note what are the red dots i see all the time what do they indicate
after looking at it much closer i see the graph is not what i thought it was
and you were right
i just going to ignore everything to the right of the game, it just makes things more complicated and hard to understand at least for me feeble mind and all thanks for showing me what i don’t understand - each day this game gets more complicated to understand or maybe its just every day i realize something else i don’t undertstand from when i first started and thought this game was about putting stones down to gain territory have agreat day back to grind
wow that does look like me with less hair ,i still have a full head of hair left meds havn’t affected that yet but everything else fits, well maybe the smile won’t be as pronounced. iam more a smirk kind of guy – but good job all around
The line starts at or close to 0, showing that the game starts even (unless there is a handicap). If it goes down you see a white area opening up between the score and the 0-line, showing that White is ahead by so many points; if it goes up, a black area opens up, showing by how much Black leads.
They show moves in the game that the AI singles out for your attention for some reason, I think. If you click on one of them, the game jumps to that point, and you can compare the move played with the AI choice (in blue). But AI choices can be pretty hard to understand, so ignore anything you do not understand after a moment’s thought.
there are screens under my and my oppoments names showing number of stones gone and komi and number of postion held are these screens which just appeared this morning new or have they always been there, and i just touched a button by acident? – what ever they are really great they give a better picture were i stand in the game - i really think they will help me stay longer in games.
latley, i have been playing 9x9, and when i get into a losing postion that there is noway to win, i pass sometimes four or five times and have to resign to end game if resigning as i have been told here many times is a bad thing then way won’t these people after two time i pass just also pass and then end game? iam trying to do the right thing here. What the problem? please see the last couple of my 9x9 games to see what I’m talking about
You are passing way too early. The games aren’t even close to being over. “Pass” means “I don’t see any move that improves my situation on the board.” Your opponent is under no obligation to agree with you, so they can continue playing if they see moves that are still worth points.
However, you’re still skipping over basic fundamental game rules. Do you know why a stone gets removed from the board during play? Your moves would indicate that you don’t, and that it’s a surprise when they disappear. You have to learn this. You simply must, or you will never be able to judge things like “is this a good move?”, “is the game over?”, etc.
