Malkovich variations not visible for observer [solved]

It’s working with chrome as guest

It’s working with chrome as user (groin)

It’s not with Opera (which is the browser I always use)

Chrome as guest means different. Chrome has internal profiles such as virtual environments. Each chrome profile has own storage, including settings and plugins. Guest is temporary profile for the current session.

I connected when chrome did not hear anytime of my OGS profile. Then I tried again, using my groin profile. Anyway it’s working with chrome (but that’s not useful for me)

I tried putting away the ads blocker of opera but that didn’t help

Try to reset your opera app storage.

As far as I see the issue is resolved I wish to make some off topic answer.

These stuff are for ordinary users only. Unpolite or not enough polite content is unacceptable for moderators or other OGS staff. OGS staff should make an example for users.

When users observe inappropriate behavior from staff they think it is acceptable here.

So you as a moderator have an extra limits. You are not allowed to do that ordinary people are allowed. You must substitute unpolite words with polite in your speech.

Here is an approximate non-exhaustive list for substitution:

Word map

Hate => Love
Stupid => Clever
Dead => Alive
Cold => Warn
Ugly => Gorgeous
Terrible => Great
Dislike => Like
Sad => Fun
Bad => Good
Kill => Kiss
Punch => Hug

There is also a more simple solution. Every time you want so say something you can chose anything by random from

Allowed phrases for OGS staff
  • I love you
  • What a wonder full day
  • You did it great
  • I like it
  • It was wonderful
  • How pleasant it is
  • It is a big pleasure to deal with you
  • You are doing great

This applies to all moderators! You are not allowed to publicly post unpleasant things.

In private you are allowed to do anything you want.

Not at all!

Opera is the browser I use and I have this issue with OGS only.

Hey mods are people too! ^___^

But on more serious note: the variation links seem to work fine on all browsers i tested on my mobile. I dont have opera or safari installed, are those the only ones having issues?

I acknowledge that this is your opinion.

LOL, you must be kidding! Do you really believe you’re in the place to tell me what I may or may not do?

oh-oh-really

Finally I switched off “block trackers” “block ads”

I cleaned cookies and even more, don’t ask me what

And it worked again!

So it’s solved.

Congratulations!

And what do you think about second issue revealed with your help about limiting the OGS representatives their humanity? Or simply speaking should all OGS staff and moderators to be turned into English Butler?

off topic :face_savoring_food:

Well I think that once again you changed a “I” into a “we” if you ask me.

Hello, If I can add to this. It seems to work in Google Chrome but not in MS Edge. It also works on the OGS Web App

I know you’re really asking “why is he using MS Edge” and its because its the default browser on my work PC.
This is not an issue for me as I’ll just review games in chrome.

Thanks, Samraku :wink:

Well, I thought that also at first, but after Mikhail “liked” my other post with that GIF I think he’s just being humorous :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It is some kind humorous. But in some kind I’m serious here.

We cannot prohibit moderators from completely expressing their emotions. They are unfortunately humans. But forcing them not to use profanity in public speech I think is acceptable.

I continue to have this problem on the desktop and on Android, both with Firefox derived browsers

I have tried to clear all my history and site data, didn’t help.

For example, this game, discussed here in the forum:

All the variation references are purple so they look like links, but they aren’t actually. Just colored text.
