It seems like the strategic reason white caught up was that black failed to attack when white has five weak groups and, consequently, white was able to link them up and make up the difference in territory with speedy play. There were some tactical things too, but it’s hard to evaluate since white’s opening is so bizarre.
Thank you very much. The reason for some of my moves being so slow (my “30k” moves) is the result of being cut so many times even after reading. I know that’s not an excuse, but that is the reason.
