Some iconic songs about rain
This woman’s voice really rubs me right. At the time she was known as Heather Alexander, but has since transitioned and now goes as Alexander Adams.
One of the mellower songs of Leslie Fish.
From Franke Hayes’ album Don’t Ask.
By Tytarion, perhaps the only Latin-language band on Youtube.
Steeleye Span formed in 1969 and are still going, with their latest album published last year. This song, published in 1970, is about mining strikes that took place in North-East England in the 19th century. In the '70s and ‘80s miners’ strikes had become a very polarising issue, and in the early '80s this song was in fact banned from some establishments in the fear that it would encourage violence.
Stan Rogers was, probably, one of the most popular solo folk musicians ever, writing many songs about the traditional maritime life of Eastern Canada. Sadly he died young, at 33 in a plane crash.

The Indian smiles, he thinks that the cowboy is his friend.
The cowboy smiles, he is glad that the Indian is fooled.
Now he can exploit him.
I prefer the remix, call me a heretic.
Pulp’s second album Freaks (Fairground) was arguably their most original.
This was the soundtrack to Trainspotting.
Great band who mostly do covers.

This song immediately takes me back to one decade ago. Such a different time, a much better summer.
What an amazing advertising campaign
I didn’t know that you could have bagpipes and a clarinet solo in a rock/metal song, but now I know … and I like it
