I bought the book, so far I am very satisfied with it. The book covers most fundamentals with many examples, problems, interesting board positions from pro games. Examples from josekis may sometimes be slightly outdated since josekis and pro games are mostly from the pre-AI era but I wouldn’t say this is a significant drawback. I estimate that the book is of interest to players between EGF 9k and about 1d: some problems are relatively easy, others are quite challenging. I’d recommend to study tesuji (like in the book of Davies) before reading this one.
I’m however puzzled by problem 1 at the top of page 85. My solution is slightly different.
