Although the whole show is purely in Chinese, but the general idea is still pretty simple to get. 5 players in two teams play a type of Rengo on a super giant goban on the floor “physically” (in a high school in Taiwan, each grid is the size of a person, think of it like the real life Wizard Chess in Harry Potter, but with Go). The rengo format is a bit different, instead of switching a player after each move, each player can play 5 moves when it is their term before transferring to the next (so they not only need to think about their teammate, but also who is against whom in their terms). A total of 100 moves will be played, with 30 seconds per move. The team with the highest winrate at the end will win (and if one move time out, they will be deducted 5% winrate, instead of just losing by time, hence the full 100 moves can all be played). The team leaders of the two teams are HJJ herself against Hsu Hao-hung (the strongest pro in Taiwan currently), and most teammates are amateur 6d or 7d (and a few low-ranking pros as well, they all graduated or are currently attending the high school hosting the game).
