ONLINE game analysis AI-assisted

I founded and chair a GO Group at the Cosmos Club in Washington. Our members want instruction in how to use OGS/AI-assisted to play and analyze games at a simple level – e.g., 9x9 boards.

  1. Can you direct up to tutorials?
  2. Are there an experienced local (Washington-DC) “assisters” who could coach us at our Saturday sessions 11:00 to 1:00 (lunch to follow).

Thank you.

And if you search the forums with “AI review”, you will find several threads dealing with various aspect of AI reviews.

Well that’s not something promoted on OGS even as a teaching. OGS policy is to only use external help after the game being finished. (No use of AI during the game, only after for review)

Did you check the other resources tab on the main site? The most popular for teaching are mentioned there

I don’t believe that’s entirely true. After all, we have the Turing tournament where this is permitted.

I believe the criteria to make this permissible are:

  1. Play unranked.
    • Note: Turing tournament does not even meet this criteria because OGS tournament games are always ranked.
  2. Both participants should agree to in-game AI assistance.

Thank you for statement of OGS policy so my request is modified to “…how to use OGS/AI-assisted to analyze games”

I’m not sure AIs can help at beginners level. A few times could be. Mostly the difficulty is to select the AI’s suggestions that you can understand from the one you can’t and that’s already a concern for players with more experience.

This is an explicitly approved exception (as opposed to “something we just don’t care about even though the policy says we do”).

Are members of “a GO Group at the Cosmos Club” likely to be beginners? I’d imagined this was a group of experienced people :face_with_monocle:

Sure they may not be but OP is asking for tutorials and for AI or for human assistance.

So maybe we could ask more information from OP about that? What is the audience in details?
