Hi all!
I’ve whipped up (read: vibe coded) a small tool that might be interesting: https://aji-style.fly.dev/ You can enter your OGS username in there and get some insights about your playing style and some ideas for improvement, all from LLMs and KataGo. It could certainly use some polish and refinement but if you’re interested in trying it out and have any feedback, please let me know. I found it pretty fun to browse around what it says about my play (the tl;dr of my recent games is that I’ve been losing won games because I’ve been distracted). Let me know what you think! (Also I hate the name of it so if you have a better idea, lmk)
It sounds like a teacher but actually trying to understand the explanation is another story.
What kind of data did you gave the LLMs? Books and youtube videos?
Maybe it would be better to also show the variation the AI exopects
Thanks for trying it out–and the feedback! The data given is really just what KataGo comes up with. I agree with you @godeon it’s not as actionable as it could be in terms of the feedback it gives. I’ve been messing with it and trying to feed it the right games/moves etc to get more useful commentary out of it. I also agree that showing variations would be helpful, especially if useful commentary accompany the variations. I’m honestly not sure how much promise there is in a tool like this–I don’t know quite how to make it useful enough for someone to actually be helped by the feedback it gives (rather than just a passive, mildly interesting bit of commentary that it seems to currently provide). I’ll keep fiddling with it!
It seems to take “corner” very literally.
I can say similar thing happened with me on 13x13.
Also it took canceled game as latest lose, which probably isn’t ideal.
The idea seems really cool though ngl.
Nice tool thanks for sharing, Interesting to get insight into my playing style
Thanks for the feedback y’all! I’ll try to look into these cases and see if I can tweak things so that the actual content of the tool is more meaningful. Keep it coming! Any features anyone wants me to add to this? or a direction to explore with it?
