Online Tournaments innovation

I discovered time ago this website https://www.gather.town/

It is an environment based in RPG Maker that has been modified to create a workspace.

But! It have games integrated so I think… It would be awesome to use this environment to make a Go club online or even a Online Tournament.

The features it have are great to connect people and feel like a physical tournament. The only problem is the integration between OGS and Gather Town.

Any advice?

In these Covid days, our local go club is closed, so we started meeting online. Our first choice was Zoom. While it was good for talking and for lectures, we had some problems while playing. We use OGS and it’s nice, but it’s confusing to speak with your opponent while others are doing the same on other games. We need separate chats but with the possibility for others to join and leave whenever they want. So we landed on Gather town. It’s a nice platform for web meetings, with a cute UI that…
