I wondered if we should make a guidebook with best practices for holding tournaments on OGS and send it to associations. We probably could get some help from people who already have experience in holding tournaments.
Haven’t seen a suggestion like that on forums.
Sounds like a great idea. Helps prevent others from having to repeat and relearn from the same mistakes.
What are some of these best practices to consider?
xhu98 did write an excellent handbook for the 2020 e-Go Congress (The 2021 e-Go Congress Handbook: OGS - Google Docs). It combined information for using OGS and specific information pertaining to the tournament. We also had instructions for coordinating the efforts of the AGA officials and the OGS moderation team. Not sure if this is exactly what you mean, but it might serve as a foundation in any case.
