playing a lot of correspondence games at once.

I recently started a correspondence game & noticed that my opponent is playing 721 games right now? Is this something people do? It seems a bit absurd to me.

This question answers itself, in a literal sense: yes they do.

Somehow it seems to be the case that we have at least one person like this at any given time … this is just my rough impression.

I’m not sure if ‘absurd’ is a word that will stand up to scrutiny: obviously people who choose to do this find some value in it, but it’s not something most people benefit from.

It does create problems, but nonetheless it is allowed. I suspect it’s allowed partly out of inertia: although we know it creates problems, we’d be hard pressed to agree on a maximum that doens’t annoy people who want to play lots, and it’s not clear that doing so would alleviate all the problems.

Yeah, some people like to play a lot ^^

My upper limit is about 50, any more than that, and i don’t have time to focus properly on any single one of them ^^

I once had about 100 ongoing games, but i was constantly running out of time on some of them, and i played way too hasty and made way too many mistakes… But i’ve seen some people manage way more, i don’t understand how they do it without blundering every time something complicated happens xD

But yeah, find the amount you feel comfortable with, corrs are super fun, and its nice to always have some go to play ^^

Wow… that person really plays a lot! I’m also quite impressed by their level of focus.

Would it be possible to add some kind of pagination to the active games on players’ profiles?
