Well, I’m not sure how to say that, but why would you expect to get the corners if you don’t play in the corners? When you play D8 for example…
You might want to experiment with moves on the 3-3 or 3-4 point in the opening. Or maybe play on a 19x19 board if you like a center strategy.
For the record, white could have played A6 at move 102 and captured the black stones.
