Hey sorry if I am posting a lot about getting reviews. I just want to get back to where I was about 15-18 years ago, I am having fun but I think I used to have a lot more fun when I was stronger back then.
That will be a really general comment but like… the recent games I see from you, it feels like you are fighting too much and not always the right way.
If you think you have a fighting playstyle in general then you should give your opponent more trouble in the contested areas
And should handle enemy invasions better imo
In opening you can play bigger moves, the small enclosures you go aren’t the best as far as I know (that may not be fully true)
After enemy S4 (move 19) you definitely don’t need to play Q6. you have 2 stones there and another stone further north, you don’t need to make “solid” one space jump. R5/R6, maybe even R7 or Q7 would be better.
2 moves later after black R6 you can play R7 in sente, black needs to respond locally and even after defending his cross cut looks bad to me.
move 36 B9 is tactically bad, it gives opponent hane at 2 stones (better is D9 instead,)
Earlier, in a similar fashion, I wouldnt shoulder hit at move 30 with L5 but if I did, I’d reply K5 with L6. (but ignoring it is better than chasing it like you did in move 36.)
Move 44 46 - B10 and E11, are bad: empty triangles that arent tactically necessary or used for attacking
Both of you ignored right upper side for too long…
(That isnt really a review but “list of moves caught my eyes most”)
Thanks for pointing things out, I don’t know my style yet. I’m really just experimenting and trying to learn ,![]()
