This joseki explanation contains a link to dwyrin.tv
On following the link, my web browser warns me that it might not be safe:
Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead
Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to dwyrin.tv. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.
Safety aside, I think the link is just broken and it should be removed. I couldn’t find an equivalent video on YouTube, but perhaps there is some Joseki enthusiast here who can suggest something
Interesting that u/iwillrankyouup titled this post “malicious”, as nothing in the Firefox warning said that. Being computer literate I understand that message and know there is nothing factually untrue about it, but it still shows the importance of wording messages for the less technically minded to avoid misinterpretation. An analogy here could be that http is like walking down a path without wearing a helmet: it’s unsafe in that someone could whack you on the head with a baseball bat, whilst https is like wearing a motorbike helmet. Firefox has no evidence to believe that someone malicious is nearby and about to whack you on the head, it is just alerting you to the fact that if they wanted to, they could, and you are not protected by a helmet.
An alternative hypothesis is that they were making a joke based on Dwyrin being somewhat controversial to some people. I like his videos, but I also don’t see sandbagging as that big a deal so long as people are making new accounts (I see it as a server’s job to make sure the “variance” or equivalent is set high enough for new accounts that sandbaggers or air baggers do not break the rating system)
