Puzzle Making - How to mark "Wrong answer" everywhere

Hi, I’d like to know how do I make all spots as “wrong” except one, or if this is even the correct way to do it. I already understand how to mark the correct answer, but the way it’s working right now, when a person clicks any spot nothing happens, instead of getting a wrong message, unless I mark lots of spots as wrong. Thanks.

When I make puzzles it seems to automatically do what you are asking for. Any wrong move brings up the “incorrect” message.

For example, does this one work the way you want?

Can you post a link to one of yours that isn’t working?

As far as I know every point that you don’t mark as correct is considered wrong.

Original

Clicking the pencil > The set up of the puzzle

Entering the solution and saving

Clicking a wrong answer in original

The second and third diagram are only visible for the puzzle creator.

Ok, apparently I have the correct configuration (I don’t even have to click the “Wrong answer” button, right?), and still made something that broke the puzzle. Clicking anywhere except the correct answer let me keep placing stones without any warning.

Does the first wrong stone show as wrong and then the warning disappears if you place more?

@Feijoa Sorry, I skipped your post. Yes, that works the way I expect. I made mine public for now: Play Go at online-go.com! | OGS

@teapoweredrobot There’s no warning. No red “Incorrect” message appears. It’s probably just some silly stuff I’m doing.

Ok, the problem is that the first square of the branch (the empty one on top) was marked as “Correct” too.

Here is what I was doing: I noticed that the procedure “Click Correct answer → make the move → save” doesn’t actually do anything. Then after that, I manually click the number of the right move and mark it as green. However, doing that also causes the first square to the marked as “Correct”, so I have to manually unselect it.

It works, but is this the way to do it?

I think generally only the final positions should be marked “correct” or “incorrect”:

Since it will show correct/incorrect as soon as they get to one of the marked moves.

When I clicked “Correct answer” as the first step and not the last, that was the wrong move. Everything works as expected now

Sorry for the bump, but it’s connected to what was solved. Is it possible to write a comment on all of the wrong moves? The idea is that I can make a comment when the correct move is chosen. Now, can I make a comment appear when the person clicks in any other spot and not just specific incorrect spots?

You can add a comment to every move on the Moves page of your puzzles (such as is shown in Fejioa’s post). However I don’t know if it is possible to add a comment to the other coordinates in your puzzle ( the ones not included in your solution). Probably not.

If you do add comments, don’t forget to save them. It is a rather labor intensive job.

Out of curiosity, why would you want to do this?

Yeah, I already figured it out how to add comments to specific moves, but this seems like a desirable task, like “You played the wrong move because you didn’t close that other group and allowed an invasion reducing your liberties to one, etc…” would appear to the person solving the puzzle. But this would be written on all points except the correct one.

Would it be something really useful? Maybe for a full beginner who understand yet very few of the game. I assume that the usual situation for someone who put a bit of effort to solve a problem is that he can understand well good and wrong answers in most of the variations besides a few subtles ones that are interesting then to comment.

Fair enough, but indeed, it would be for beginners. That’s the situation I think the feature “show a written comment everywhere” is not so useless.
