I would like to know the opinion of the OGS players about which tournament system and what paring they consider the most suitable for handicap tournaments, and why?

I think the McMahon-type tournaments don’t make much sense since they assign initial points and groups based on rank instead of putting all participants on the same level. Maybe you can get around that with some extreme settings for the bars?
With Swiss (and maybe elimination?), it seems fun to use slide, slaughter, or random for the initial pairing, to try to get some larger handicaps.

It strongly depends how reliable the entry ranks of the participants are: if poor then using them in the draw it essentially becomes a sandbagging contest.
