I have experienced a bug like this for a few times now where even though my rank is around 15k it shows that it is 23k under my name, while i am in a game. However when i type in chat it shows the real one. This has influenced my games, because my opponents would lower their guard when they see someone with a rank much weaker then theirs.Also, i have seen this happen to other players too.
I hope this gets fixed.
That is not a bug, the rank under your name is your blitz rank, as that is the type of game that you were playing, handicaps are also based of your live/blitz/corrospondence rank, not your overall rank.
