A while back, I replied in a post about territory scoring for a rough statistic, where territory scoring and area scoring would end up with different winners, and estimated about 1 in 50 chance it happened for pro games.
I also noted that I didn’t count the rare cases supposedly in the one in thousands (or even one in tens of thousands or less) when seki happened with an odd amount of shared liberties. And today a live streaming game for the 1st game of BO3 of the final for the Taiwan Haifong Cup, it actually happened. Here is the game record
Using territory scoring, the result would be W+0.5 (B+6 before 6.5 komi), while the result would be B+0.5 (B+8 before 7.5 komi) using area scoring (seki with eyes with one shared liberty). The reason is not only black played the last move, but also in the seki, black has to play 2 times to capture 3 white stones in the eyes with seki.
