Hi, I’m an organizer for the Louisville Go Club. However, the group “Louisville Go Club” is currently run by a user who is inactive and not responsive, and no one in the group knows the username. Is there a process for getting the group’s ownership transferred to myself or aaaldo25?

Is it just the name you want for your group?
I don’t think there’s any users in the group even.
If you have your own group, and want it renamed to Louisville Go Club we can do that.
I think that admins can do that, and if not maybe the developer anoek can do that.
Think it has been done before.
I think they want to revive this group.
I’m not sure what the point would be. The group in question just has the admin as member.
I was under the impression that group names were globally unique. If this is incorrect please correct me.
And by “no one knows the username” I meant no one recognizes the username. I was able to locate the name.

I have not attempted to create a new group, given that there was one already, and I do not know what the policy on duplicated groups is. If that is the path forward, I’d be happy to do that.

We could give you that group, but it just takes more clicks, and the group seems to have nothing in it, no users other than the admin, no tournament records etc.
So if you want to make a new group using that name instead, that name should now be available
