A snapback happens when killing a stone also causes a self-atari. I created a contrived example of a snapback in this empty board. https://online-go.com/demo/view/238616

This explanation is perfect … your example seems a little bit too contrived, though, since B can capture at T2 and then run out (I think).
LOL what a bad sport opponent - got whupped by someone much lower rank and moans about how it wasn’t a good game.
