The trouble for white began early in the game with the weak group in the lower right. The black invasion on the left side later on was very painful.

Thank you @VincentCB. The invasion was a bit of a panic move; I was trying to limit the size of black’s potential. The one-space jump instead of the pillar move was me trying to escape and not necessarily live locally. I should have continued to jump as you mentioned. I need to work on seeing urgent moves, and not worry so much about big points that me or my opponent could take.
