See a white move as number 1 in Demo board

Hi, I’d like to know if it’s possible to see in the string of move numbers, a white move as “1”? I’m reproducing some games of the beginner’s book of Cho Chikun and I’d like to have the same numbers (so, you know why that would be the case, right … handicap). It’s not a huge problem, there would be a difference of 1, but maybe there’s a workaround. Thanks.

Yes.

Great! How did you do that? I put the handicap stones choosing the black color and they appear as 0 in the number of moves. In your board they don’t even appear.

found handicap 9 Japanese rules game, dowloaded, deleted all moves except the first white stone, uploaded to sgf library, started a review

Wow, ok, thanks, I’ll try that later. But I would be able to change that first white stone right? Apparently it’s fixed in your board, and if I try to make a new branch it starts with white as 0.

it starts as 1

Sorry for the elementary questions, but where do you start your position of making the first move? After the board is empty, with just the 9 handicap stones, I click the dash before “1” in white, and make the move, that’s where my white “0” is coming from.

even if I open in incognito window as guest, I see “1”

I got it now, thanks!

How did you delete the first moves of the first branch, so that only “1” appears (just a little bit less of extra useless information)? I get “The current position is not an explored branch, so there is nothing to delete”. Tks.

the 1st move is not deleted

you mean 2nd, 3rd, 4th… ?

after downloading sgf, just opened it by text editor

I mean, there are 3 moves in the first branch when I downloaded your .sfg and in your review there’s just the first white one. But anyway, I think I’m getting what I want messing with the .sfg file itself, thanks.

Any ideas about how do I get permission to change the name of the game/players, etc…?

I tried to change name, got error, but it worked anyway.

That’s true, the error message fooled me too. Although I couldn’t change the player names, that’s enough organization to let me satisfied :handshake:

player names can be changed before uploading sgf

I tried, I saw the fields “PB” and “PW”. It appears correctly inside the “game information”, but not in the table of “Reviews and Demos”, which shows [NULL USER].

PB[Player1]
PW[Player2]
BR[9d]
WR[9d]

I get it correctly there too, but not here:

I wonder is it something to do with game or review history expecting those to be actual players, so it looks for a username that matches
