Hi,
just to be sure, when creating a puzzle and placing the stones, there is no way to place the stones in alterning colors, right?
(White to play, btw)

You might be able to select to place black and use the shift key to toggle to white while it’s held down.
I believe that used to work, but yeah, I’m not sure why there isn’t an alternating colours option - makes sense when it’s come from a game. Though when copying a position with a lot of stones I would imagine just placing them in clumps of black and white rather than alternating anyway.
Thanks! It does indeed work with shift! For a moment I thought it would be stupid to ask the question.
Thats funny, my thought proccess was the complete opposite. Especially when creating problems with many stones, I thought, it would be easier with alterning stones because for full board problems for example, I could more or less just replay a game ![]()
The shift key trick works with a lot of SGF editors. If it doesn’t work then I would consider it user-unfriendly lol.
I think at one point I tried to write down as many OGS keyboard shortcuts as I could find
If anything has changed it can be fixed or added, it’s probably long overdue an update anyway ![]()
