I have closed the polls in the top post, and made the following summary:

I only regard the votes of the players relevant in these results. All other votes are discarded.

The poll about preferred time controls was tied between “48 hours / move without extra periods” and “24 hours / move with 3 extra periods per player”. Since Maharani expressed preference for longer time controls without voting, I suggest going for 24 hours / move with unlimited extra periods per player. That is: if everyone submits a move within 24 hours, the game progresses to the next round, and if some player does not manage to submit a move within 24 hours, the round is automatically extended to 48 hours (with no extra extension beyond that).

The poll about communication methods resulted in preference for private communication of groups of players of any size (5 votes) over private communication between any two players (4 votes).

The board size poll is tied between 13x13 and 15x15, I suggest we go for the compromise of 14x14.

The game mechanics poll has become rather irrelevant due to discussion in the other topic.

As for player incentives / goals, the earning of points and the elimination / resignation of players: from discussion here it seems an alternative option has become the most popular, namely the “last player standing” goal of the game. Players will be eliminated if they do not have enough stones on the board in a given round.
