The second image is indeed a much higher resolution image that has to get scaled down for display. Maybe it has something to do with how @martin3141 enters the code differently for a link?
When I want to link an image, I think I usually do it like this:

Round 62
| Team | Blue | Green | Pink |
|---|---|---|---|
| Black | @Maharani: T12 | @Jon_Ko: R6 | @Vsotvep: J13 |
| White | @yebellz: L9 | @Feijoa: O11 | @terrific: R11 |
After placing all stones ā¦
⦠the big blue chain connected to Q10 contains a stone that was placed this round (L9). Hence the green chains at T10 and L11 (which contain no stones played this round) are removed first, freeing up liberties.
Furthermore R11 is removed. New Position:

What a round, I think my heart skipped a beat when I saw the moves ![]()
Right, so Iām not sure what @Feijoa was planning⦠Were you expecting a capture?
@Maharani, you can create more eyes now, any of L10, L11, P12 or T10 will make the group more secure, and seem necessary to me.
Iāll spend this move trying to capture some white stones. Maybe @Jon_Ko wants to assist?
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, argh, sorry, I mean anyway, ahem, yes, thatās exactly what I was planning ![]()
Iām happy to help.
@yebellz Iāll leave H8 to you since the two pink stones are not very important now.
@Maharani has not submitted yet. Next reminder: 2022-04-02T08:00:00Z
Sorry. Submitted.
Round 63
| Team | Blue | Green | Pink |
|---|---|---|---|
| Black | @Maharani: L11 | @Jon_Ko: H8 | @Vsotvep: J7 |
| White | @yebellz: E12 | @Feijoa: L10 | @terrific: E12 |
⦠notably there are multiple chains without liberties and all contain a stone placed this round.
- the pink chain at E12
- the white and green chains connected to L10
- the pink chain connected to J9 as well as the two black chains H8 and J7
Thus all of these chains are removed simultaneously. New Position:

This game keeps fascinating me ![]()
By the way Iām very grateful that all players have continued playing up to this point. Keep it up, you are doing great!
Dumb question: what do yāall think is the status of the bottom left? Is black clearly dead there? Or clearly alive? Or uncertain??
Certainly not clearly alive. But Iām not yet ready to give it up totally.
Iām stupid ![]()
HA! I love what happened between @yebellz and @terrific. I was heavily doubting whether I should attempt that capture instead, and wasnāt sure if @Jon_Ko had noticed this as well. I decided that Iād try it if there was anything in Jonās message that would hint at trying a different group than the J8 group, and couldnāt find any, thus I went for that group.
Certainly uncertain. Until a move ago, I was believing the O10 Blue group mightāve been dead under worst circumstances. Both the green groups and the pink groups in the lower left lack eyes, although the white part is clearly stronger than the black parts. Iām looking forward to finding out what will happen.
The endgame of this variant is without a doubt my favourite of any variant of Go that I know. I love the challenge of public communication and simultaneous moves, and the different colours bring so much depth and flavour. I might say this is my favourite variant so far.
Iām sorry about messing up that capture two rounds ago! But yes, Iām having a ton of fun with this. I really donāt know what to do next; I found a really boring move that Iāll have to play at some point, but I donāt see anything really exciting to go after now.
@terrific want help with the lower left?
Iām very happy to hear that you are enjoying the game ![]()
I have noticed that white is down to two liberties, but until now I didnāt notice, that this lack of liberties might threaten the eyes of pinkās lower left group.
Handling collisions by combining the colors of the stones is genius and elegantly simple.
