Hi everyone!
I’m the developer of StoneBase, and I’d like to share it with the community and post updates here as the project evolves.
What is StoneBase?
StoneBase is a desktop application for reviewing and analyzing Go games. Think of it as a ChessBase-style tool for Go. You can import your SGF files, analyze them with KataGo, and build a searchable game library.
Everything runs locally on your machine, so your data stays private.
Key Features
Position search: Place stones on the board and find every game in your library that reached that position (exact and similar matches)
Game library: Import thousands of SGFs, filter by player/date/result, and detect duplicates
KataGo analysis integration
Available for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Current Status
StoneBase is currently in beta. Basic features are free to use. If you’d like to try out the pro features, drop a comment or send me a message and I’ll send you a beta key.
I’d love to hear your feedback. What works, what doesn’t, and what you’d like to see next.
