Original post regarding the postponed event that was originally planned for May 2020

Hello everyone,

I wanted to inform you that at the 9th of May 2020 Athens will host its first Go Tournament . You can find the current details and the registration form in this link :Postponed—1st Athens Go Tournament

I have been informed that the tournament will have prizes for the winners and that each participant will get a free copy of the book produced by the Multilingual Go Project (English copy for the players that come from abroad, Greek version for the local participants. You can find more information about that here: https://www.facebook.com/MultilingualGo … 2702529246 )

We hope to see you there

I hope you don’t mind me changing the title, so people know this is an event for this year as well

Good call

Also the paragraph about the prizes is not valid for this tournament, but the forum doesn’t allow me to edit the content of the post anymore since it is a very old topic.

I added a line, let me know if there’s something better to write and I’ll sort it out tomorrow.

Could you please delete all of my text, keep the “old post line” (which would explain the old date of the topic) and then add the content of your text with the current announcement and link?

@JethOrensin, I’ve edited your, trying to following the spirit of your request.

I’ve also made your top post a wiki, which is a workaround that should allow you (and anyone else) to edit that post. Please edit it further as you see fit, and let me know when/if you want me to remove the wiki status to lock public editing.

Would have been a lot easier and clearer just to make a new post!

Yes, sorry, that was my fault. But on the other hand this way maybe drove some engagement!

Thank you very much! @yebellz

True, but this way we actually remembered that we had made a logo for it back then. I will send it to the organisers if they’d like to (re)use it.

That’s great!
Countries relatively “small” in the Go world should participate more. This is a great opportunity.
