For all of us who are waiting to see when, or if, the Korean movie The Match will be released, the date for the judgement in the drug case of Yoo Ah-in is September 3. Then we will see if Netflix decides to release the movie or not.

Only players who never heard about Cho HunHyun and Lee ChangHo could not be interested in this.

So he is convicted. The question is if this means that Netflix will drop the Match or if they will release it in any case.

I have been following this and hoping for the release of The Match for a long time so thank you for the update. Fingers crossed…
Netflix has proceeded with some other project staring Yoo Ah-in despite the scandal so I am hopeful although they have tried to cut him away as much as possible from these series which is a bit hard in a movie where he is one of the main actor, but on the other hand Netflix is not so moralistic and they will lose the money they put into the movie if they do not release it…
Why bother cutting anything? Just release the movie as planned, it’s not like releasing a movie entails endorsement of the opinions and/or actions of its actors
I guess that they are more sensitive about such stuff in Korea.
