This game is a lot of fun, simply for the sake of producing statements like above.
We do?
While the timing of their proposal is clumsy, Cerulean (@ArsenLapin1) does raise some good points. Blue agrees that Red is currently in the best position. A coordinated attack comes with risks and requires mutual trust, but is one way to handle the situation. Even the strongest can’t win against superior numbers.
That being said, Blue can’t contribute much. We pledge to try help N3 find safety in case it comes under attack.
Red agrees that Red has the best current position in terms of territory (Blue is a close second, so does naturally have some extra incentive to encourage others to reduce Red). However being ahead in territory isn’t worth much when multiple players start teaming up against you. If the plan @ArsenLapin1 suggested was executed, Red’s position would go from good to bad in the blink of an eye.
(I won’t be trying to directly convince someone not to go for this plan as it’s difficult for me to make an unbiased argument, but I do believe Green and Yellow are correct in their assessment that going after me would weaken their own positions as well)
Assuming that my neighbours refrain from playing O5, O8 or O12, I will keep trying my best to maintain peace. This includes not expanding my own position to the point where everyone views me as a threat.
I have already indicated that I will not play O14, N4 or N2. Furthermore, I am willing to let my neighbours play N12 and N8, assuming I get to solidly connect my own stones.
Since Red’s potential for expansion is not much at this point, I actually believe Blue will have the best position soon. The other nations should probably be working together to limit both Red and Blue (preferably by diplomatic discussion, rather than direct aggression).
Cerulean has admitted they have no plan, so it is very hard to trust what they will do next. They have moved their armies into our space so we have to take a defensive position at H8:

The Great Golden Empire must stress upon the Cerulean Kingdom that further movements towards our armies will not be taken lightly.
Further, it should be noted the no player can currently afford to lose 4 liberties (and some only 3 or 2), yet everyone has to endure 5 moves in between their own. A committed multi-prong attack can immediately eliminate anyone. However, of course, it’s not necessarily wise to undertake such a plan, both in terms of how that might upset the balance of power globally, and in terms of what risks might be faced by the newly placed attacking stones.
The leader of the Cerulean kingdom has become drunk with power. This madness bodes badly for all kingdoms in close proximity to theirs. Perhaps we should work together to stop their expansion towards both of our lands for once his armies are stopped to the south, they will surely turn north…
Absolutely not. I have already stated clearly that I had no plan to attack Green. I only want to capture the pink stones at E12 and F11, to connect my two groups. I will not attack Green.
Green started the game with three groups, just like Cerulean, and attacking a nation who is struggling to make all their groups live, while Red is growing prosperous, has never been my intention.
Furthermore, I solemnly promise not to attack anyone who is attacking Red.
Orange (@sokoslav) would you mind if Blue plays F5? We do not wish to harm G5, just to gain access to the priced high lands in the center.
Yeah, take it if you wish. I may want to take K2 later.
I see N2 group this way: M4 is a shared eye, Orange does not pretend on N4, L4 and probably L3, but instead wants one 2-space eye and possibility to make second eye later.
Thank you for understanding Orange (@sokoslav)!
Blue builds towards the high lands with F5:

The Cerulean Kingdom builds a peaceful bamboo joint at J9.

Red plays O12:
To Orange and Yellow:
If either of you should wish Red to help build a shared eye with N12 in the future, we will be happy to do so. We have chosen a non-expanding move this turn so that you will feel no pressure to respond locally, and can keep tending to more urgent matters.
@NeilAgg up next.
You use the word peaceful, but you invade our lands and talk of violence to other kingdoms. Your actions do not support your words.
I did try talk about violence towards Red, but no one was interested. So instead I am playing a peaceful bamboo joint in the center.
The Great Golden Empire appreciates your gesture of cooperation and will share with you in the future. As you correctly observed, we have urgent matters to attend to right now, so we move our armies to J10:
The Cerulean kingdom could have placed their armies at J10 and allowed us J9 for a peaceful resolution. Instead, they chose an aggressive stance so we must respond in kind.
