The chart reminds me of electron shell excitation energies for some reason.
We have capacitor curves and now electron shell energies. Moving up in complexity. String theory next?
Nine days later:
- 36 games left, 53 players involved, 16 groups
- 2 completed games
- 1 player resigned
- 3 players completed all their games
- 1 groups completed all its games
That was quick! The game’s over: they went to counting, black won by 6.5 pts.
The other game ended by resignation.
The player that resigned from tournament wasn’t involved in either game.
11 games are paused. 10 of them because of 4 players in vacation.
It feels good to get my game finished
14 days later, no game is finished in the meanwhile.
One player resigned from the tournament though.
Talking about moves: this game was idle in previous updates, but had 14 moves in the last 14 days.
This game had 5 moves
This is the game with most moves so far and had 4 more in the last two weeks:
Six days later…
No changes in games and players.
36 games left.
19 moves played in 12 games.
6 games paused. 5 of them because of one single player’s vacation.
No completed games yet.
One disqualified player.
46 moves over 18 games.
8 moves in the most advanced game, which is now on move 272
and 5 moves in the less advanced game (*), which is on move 108
(*) except for the abandoned game which is in pause since more than two years
Hey, just found this thread. My game vs txo is the most advanced game apparently, we’re in a super tight endgame but it feels like we’re going to be done soon (up to move 279 now and running out of choices, we’ve really picked up the pace).
I have loved this tournament.
No completed games yet.
One player resigned from tournamet.
55 moves over 18 games.
12 games paused.
Highlights:
- 8 moves in the most advanced game, which is now on move 280
- 13 moves in a single game, now on move 178
Tournament Game: Through the Years: Long Correspondence (59567) R:1 (kavias vs SlowLarry)
- 6 moves in a game that was idle in the last 7 weeks
Tournament Game: Through the Years: Long Correspondence (59567) R:1 (tikka vs 9981)
I’m still working on a meaningful visualization. Here is what I have now:
The chart is the same as before (10 posts above) but new colours should make it more readable and more data should make it more interesting.
- 1 completed game
- 35 games left, 52 players involved, 16 groups
- 1 player completed all his games
111 moves over 14 games.
13 games paused.
Highlights:
- 62 moves on this game bringing it to its end
- no moves in the most advanced game, while the second in this rank had 13, bringing it to 267 moves overall. The game seems almost finished.
- 10 moves in this game
Nine days later:
- 2 completed games
- 33 games left, 50 players involved, 16 groups
- 2 player completed all their games
55 moves over 20 games.
7 games paused.
Highlights:
- one game in stones removal phase right now: that’s the first time I pick one of them!
It’ll be counted as finished next time.
Tournament Game: Through the Years: Long Correspondence (59567) R:1 (silk vs AdamR)
I was mentioning it last week:
Even more now!
Max number of moves played since last update in a game is 6. That happened in two games.
C-c-c-combo breaker!
It seems to be moving along now
12 days later:
- 28 games left, 41 players involved, 13 groups
- 5 completed games
- 1 disqualified player, one resigned
- 9 players completed all their games
- 3 groups completed all their games
55 moves over 18 games.
2 games paused.
Max number of moves in a single game (since last update): 8
Thanks!
And notably all players have completed over 44% of their games.
One question, are the paused games due to vacation? Because they may be paused due to the other games the player has in that situation.
Yes, there are just 6 players with more than one ongoing game.
One game seems abandoned by one player and still paused.
Other games were paused because of vacation. Those pauses don’t last long, just as expected.
If this should end up being the last remaining game feel free to ping me and I’ll end it for you so the next round can begin.
Wow,this tournament is still here.
I finished my games in few months, then
I forgot about it.
Thinking that is over, I wanted to see the results.
ooOps… You lazy slugs, still sweating at the first round
You sweet summer child you’re about to learn how literal “through the years” is
