Understanding Ko fights/ threats

Does anyone know of any good online resources that help a player to better understand ko fights? For example: calculating the value of ko, value of threats, identifying ko threats, etc.

…and to clarify: I’m only 20k and don’t really fight ko fights because I don’t fully understand how to use them to my advantage.

Sensei’s Library is a good place to start: http://senseis.xmp.net/?Ko

Thanks calantir, that helps.

It might be helpful to fight some ko fights before reading up on it even if it means that you lose at first.

Also, keep in mind that you may lose the ko but win the fight. If the ko’s value is 10 points and your opponent does not respond to a 20 points threat, he wins the ko but loses the fight. A ko is not important for itself.
