understanding this game

Just recently i have come around to a new way of thinking for me that is— about stone placement, and now I see results not in winning any games — that will never happen – and that’s ok i feel that trying to take away area from my opponent rather than just play defence as I have in the past is making me last a lot longer in my games or at least thats what i think – so i will contuine with this thinking for a while longer to see if it keeps going on this arch.

If you really want to think I suggest you start by thinking about your moves rather than playing every move so fast.

Sounds like step in the right direction

Just remember

I agree with the others said ^^

Take your time thinking “what do i need to do in order to win” and then ask yourself “what can i play to make the next step into that direction”. Don’t just put down stones because you it’s your turn and you don’t want to keep the opponent waiting, but rather use your time to think what you want to do with your next move, and what you want to do after your opponent has responded to that move.

Having a plan, even a bad plan, is usually better than just playing without any plan whatsoever ^^
