Updating a subscription

I want to move to a higher tier subscription. My current one would expire in about two months. (Renews yearly.)

My question is: if I cancel now and set a new tier as the default, will I be charged immediately (so pay for two subscriptions for these two months)? Or will I only be charged when my current one expires?

@anoek

Additionally, I’m planning on changing my payment plan. (I used to use credit card, but would want to use SEPA in the future.) Let me know if that complicates things.

@Matanatosh The transition between tiers isn’t smooth like it should be, but we can certainly accommodate you with a bit of manual effort. Since the last charge was over 180 days ago my payment provider won’t let me refund you, but what I can do is when you cancel and sign up for the new plan just let me know and I’ll refund you the difference for those two months.

Thanks for upgrading!

No worries! I’ve put it in my planner for next month and the month difference can be seen as a donation :wink:

Thank you for the wonderful and extensive website you’ve built!
