Currently whenever we receive a PM on OGS, there is a desktop notification that appears for a few seconds on the screen. However, there is a tendency to miss messages if those chat boxes are kept minimised and our attention is not on the screen for a few seconds.
As a suggestion, there should be some form of visual notification of minimised chat boxes. Even something as changing chat box title colour from black to orange would be a nice solution. Right now my work-around to this problem is by closing chat boxes as soon as I’m done with the current conversation; new chat boxes will re-appear if a new message is sent. This sort of ‘hack’ feels rather unpolished for a site such as OGS, wouldn’t you say?
