Wanted - the Android Notifications app

I understand that @matburt has suspended working on the android app. I was wondering if anyone else has the same itch as I do. I would like to be able to get a notification of a move or game notification. The notification would show up like other alerts on android and from the shade pull down you could launch you browser to the games list.

It would be similar to the notification extension @prozz created for chrome.

I have no experience programming android apps, but think it might be a fun project.

I might add support for this to my app, it’s pretty simple.

I’ll probably release an alpha in a few weeks. It won’t have game play support though.

Oh, please, please do this! I’m incredibly busy with work and young children, and I can’t remember the last time that I actually managed to finish a game rather than timing out.

I think a preliminary version of the Android edition of Online Go is now available in the Google Play store.

If this topic, which is 8 years old, is no longer relevant, perhaps it could be deleted?
