Thank you! Those comics are hilarious, especially the second one. I laughed so hard. The first one incorporated one of my favorite quotes from my youth, “There is no fate that cannot be surmounted by scorn.” I do disagree with Camus on one point, however, where he implies that Sisyphus could not be upheld by the hope of succeeding. That is why I mentioned the “hope springs eternal” adage. I can certainly conceive of Sisyphus nursing the hope that he might overcome the power of the gods, or escape, or arrive at a time when Zeus would relent. Such a hope, however impossible, is very human.
