If you want players to join your group, a link to that group would help.
I have however serious doubts whether creating a group will help you reach your goal of making go friends. About 50% of all circa 13000 groups has only 2, 1 or even 0 members. And I have the impression that maybe more groups are at the moment (and always have been) inactive.
But maybe you succeed in creating a lively group where you find friends.

In my opinion there are better ways on OGS to make friends.There is a chat, where you can always join and are welcome.

Another way is to start communicating in the game chat. Or join a tournament.
