Just curious, and I’m also trying to find out what are some of the most effective opening moves. I normally play Low Chinese, and it has been serving me well 
I’ve experimented with most of the popular ones over the years. Chinese, kobayashi, san-ren-sei, orthodox. a lot of the big fight-starting, moyo-oriented ones.
Stuck with mini-chinese mostly, these days. generally just playing the shimari if white disengages chinese by using the pincer.
