What does count as blitz here?

I played a 5 minute and 30s(5) game on the 19x19 board. But it does count as live game.
What are the requirements for blitz games?

I know that with fischer timing blitz is anything with an increment of 9s or less. I’m not sure with byo-yomi timing.

It should be noted however, that the separate ranking for different time settings and board sizes are only informational. The system always uses your overall rank for matchmaking.

With those time settings, the game could well last 1.5 to 2 hours. In my book a blitz game usually takes less than 30 minutes. So I feel it is not wrong to assess your settings as a live game rather than a blitz game.

I’m not sure with byo-yomi timing.

Main time plus byo-yomi must average less than 10 seconds.

Blitz, Live, Correspondence thresholds (again)

Games with strictly less than 10s per move (base time divided by 240 for 19x19 + increment) is considered blitz. Everything else with time per move smaller than 4 hours is live. The distinction is made by the time settings, not how fast both players actually played.

Online people tend to play faster than irl genres. So those kind of rapid settings are pretty normal, even s bit slow for online games.
Maybe something like this group is worth exploring?

Slow Live Games Group

Personally, I like to play a little slow live games, but realize most people don’t have that much time. So I created this group, hopefully this provides a place for people with the same preference to find each other easier and play some games.

Actually, I’ve canceled the group cause I did not seen any activities. However, I have initiated slow games and was able to find opponents, not as easy as regular games, but good enough.
