Hi,
I am new to Go and would like to understand why I‘ve lost this game in the screenshot - why do all my areas on the top right belong to black?

The short answer is that the top right has only one eye.
You can tell this if you ask “what if black plays into each one of the empty holes in that space?”
If black can place a stone in them successfully, they are not an eye.
Start with the bottom one…

Black can capture some white stones if he plays on the triangle (and after that on the x)
So white should connect them but then black captures everything by playing o
