This the logo of my first group, the Cat League. It’s from a certain manga, the title of which escapes me for now…

And this is my second, the Tearoom Classical Pro Study Group. It’s a photo of Shuei instructing (or, at least posing as instructing) Shuei and Karigane.

Okay, strictly speaking this is off topic (but please don’t flag me).
It is not about a group logo on OGS.

Early nineties I designed a logo for the Nijmeegse Go Club.
Not with a computer program like we do nowadays, but with scissors and pasting with glue on a piece of paper.

It was a lot of fun doing that and even more fun that more than 25 years later it still is our club logo. Still proud of it.

Originally it had a white background.

Not a group logo, but I got triple-post locked in the newer times thread so:

I’m expanding this to a general Go logo appreciation thread.

Black and white animals are natural mascots for this game! Apparently San Diego got its first pandas in 1987.

Any meaning with the dolphin? (Nice drawing besides)

The Grenoble area is also named ‘dauphiné’
In history this was were the heir of the king was raised and this guy was called ‘dolphin’
(I believe it’s something like that)

A then even better.

I’m so saaaaad LRA logo was my idea T_T
Just to explain the number 8 :

  1. it’s an hexagon which represent France (we call France “hexagon” in France)
  2. black stone represent Lyon, white stone represent Grenoble (which are the biggest club in this area), and they are placed relatively to their geographic ocation
  3. we can see the letters LRA (Ligue Rhône-Alpes)
  4. colors = wood

Voilà

Surely I’ve misunderstood you somehow… Do you mean to say that a French person in France would not say “I am in France” but rather “I am in hexagon”?

If you want to make difference with people not in continental france

exact =)
