Since I watched the episode in Hikaru where Sai plays half a game as one color and then switches and turns the game around, I’ve been wondering if this is a thing, do pros actually show their skill by turning their own games around?
Which also got me thinking, would anyone be interested in playing a game (of course not ranked or anything, probably a demo board), where discobot would decide whose turn it is? Probably it could work with more than 2 people as well.
A “switch halfway” game could be quite a strategic challenge. How to leave holes in your position that you can use to your advantage when the board is turned
Or maybe the game would feature careful, peaceful plays that try to keep things balanced, especially if there is the possibility of sides being switched more than once.
There are currently 4 players (N = 4).
We should roll an (N – 1)-sided die to choose the next player after each move, e.g., roll 1d3.
This is to prevent the same person from playing twice in a row (see the procedure below).
