ครูคีธสอนโกะ Special EP. How I became Thailand’s top Go teacher for kids.
Chess IM learns to play go from Chess NM
I think the full stream is like 3 hours long. This video is 1 hour but with timestamps to games in the description. I’ve watched a good few of Eric Rosens Chess videos and enjoyed them. Interesting to see more people trying Go
In sente is back after a year?!
2 seconds of go
These were the games that were played in the video above. (also does anyone want to join mine: https://go.kahv.io/#568 ? if you do, change your name to your ogs name, we can do correspondence, just remember the link)
Probably anyone whose rank fits the range that can actually benefit from this video has already watched it, but in case someone missed it, this is a Dwyrin game with his actual rank (7d), with review comments from a 9p:
(by the way, the pretty good impression of “undo requested; undo granted”, tells me he plays on OGS more frequently than he lets on. )
Chinese Ambassador Cup in Russia. Upping production quality.
You can’t make Shikshin wear a business suit.
It actually is really cool looking to be fair. I haven’t watched much of it yet. The setting for auto-generated/auto-translated subtitles might not be too bad either. Once it’s enough to get the gist of it
Skip further into the future and Go players will have their own entrance music like boxing or WWE wrestling
I saw Nihon Kiin announcing it a while back but didn’t hear anything since. Will have to watch this one!
Currently working on my next article, about the stages of the game. I’m wondering if someone might have the SGF file for this lovely game on hand
If I can’t find an SGF, it might be an excellent game to transcribe move by move, maybe lay out on a goban because the end result is so pretty.
I recommend go4go dot net for finding games and sgfs.
It can be trickier if you don’t know the event or when it was played but in this case they say it was the 63rd NHK so you choose that tournament and go back a few pages.
And __go4go_20151025_Cho-Chikun_Kobayashi-Satoru.sgf (1.7 KB)
Thank you! : )
Hope the article writing goes well, look forward to it
Cho Chikun, former Meijin (in Go) vs. Watanabe Akira, Meijin (in shogi) playing a game of 9-stone handicap Go and a game of shogi with 4 piece handicap (rook, bishop and both lances missing):
I really like how Cho is mostly focused on the shogi board, whereas Watanabe is mostly focused on the Go board.
Here are records of both games:
I don’t know if it’s because after so many months he’s more used to it, but I like his style in this video much more than others I’ve seen this year (I think with AGA). He’s more relaxed, he engages better with the camera, he’s more comfortable, I don’t know what is, but if they do more videos at that channel, I’ll watch them.
I noticed that he’s better when he’s alone. Maybe because he can follow his script better.

He also won a game against Koyama Ryugo which is expected result.
