Can I make “obvious upgrade” jokes?

I was thinking of something along the lines of them missing the opportunity to name it

Let's Go Original: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut

But then I thought it would be even funnier if it was cut, because duh, but then it was too much effort

Wondering what this is for. Is it somehow related to the competition?

True lol. Like 100% ?

I notice there are no camera at all. (Can’t be completly sure)

Gotcha covered.

The remaining competitors are Fan Yin, Xie Ke, Wang Haoyang, Shi Yue, Ding Hao, Fan Tingyu, Li Weiqing, Ke Jie, Li Qincheng, Tuo Jiaxi, Tu Xiaoyu, Tang Weixing, Jiang Weijie, Mi Yuting, Peng Liyao and Han Yizhou.

Ke Jie, Mi Yuting, Shi Yue, Tang Weixing and Ding Hao don’t need introduction, I think. Then again, some of the ones I have introduced don’t really need it either. Remember that all these players have Sensei’s Library articles.

Fan Yin won the 2016 Chinese National Championship and the 2017 Qiwang.

Xie Ke, I think, was runner up in the last Ing Cup. He was also runner up in the last MLily Cup and the 2018 Tianyuan.

Wang Haoyang is a bit obscure, but he was runner up in the 2011 Longxing.

Fan Tingyu won the 2013 Ing Cup, the 2014 Quzhou Lanke Cup, and three editions of the Xinren Wang.

Li Weiqing was runner up in the 2020 Globis Cup. Another of the less accomplished competitors.

Li Qincheng won the 2013 Xinxiu, the 2016 Globis Cup and the 2016 Asian TV Cup.

Tuo Jiaxi has won a few things, including the 2012 CCTV Cup and the 2014 LG Cup.

Tu Xiaoyu is probably the youngest player in the tournament, at only 18. He won the 2020 and 2021 Xinren Wang, and was runner up in the 2021 Globis Cup. His nemesis in youth events is Wang Xinghao, but Wang was eliminated in the first round.

Jiang Weijie won the 2010 and 2011 Mingren, and the 2012 LG Cup, as well as some other tournaments.

Peng Liyao is, relatively, not very decorated. He won the 2012 Qiwang and was runner up in 2010.

Han Yizhou won the National Go Individual in 2017, and that’s about all there is to say about him.

That website… bookmarked!
Thanks.

The second round of the Tianyuan is done.

We’ve been left with some household names like Ke Jie, Shi Yue and Mi Yuting.

The quarterfinal matchups will be:

  • Xie Ke vs Shi Yue
  • Fan Tingyu vs Ke Jie
  • Tuo Jiaxi vs Tang Weixing
  • Mi Yuting vs Peng Liyao
