What happens if I move this black stone one to the left?

It stays red

But, if you move this white stone one to the right:

The black stone also went to the right but what If it didn’t?

It would still be green:

I feel like the last couple diagrams contain a hint of some kind. Some small changes to the position of stones alter the color of the Koan, while others don’t.

So it means that only the post it ion f white mattered there(well actually if black makes a crazy different move.)

Sorry, I don’t think I understand what you meant…

Ahhh, position!

I’m just thinking about what I can learn from these Koans.

So I guess there is something wrong with the black stone?

Wait but one of the green ones that also has black , there is a rule for that black stone.

So it is stated that it could be a rule that includes liberties but I do not think it is included as both green and red has three liberties.it could also not be about life and death.

Anything related to life and death is difficult to define rigorously, so I don’t think the rule refers to that.

All green!

Maybe this is a rule where swapping two rows or columns (along with all stones on those lines) doesn’t change the color of the Koan.

So what is the problem with that black stone? Or the white has to be there?

I think that maybe those white stones have to be in a group chain.

Here is an example of a good koan where any two swapped rows or columns will result in a bad koan:
