I’d politely request you wait a little while, at least until the Americans get a chance to wake up and see this post, since there was so much discussion. But, you do you there’s obviously no guarantee you won’t get sniped once or twice
Yeah I intended to wait a while anyway, I have the game ready but thought I’d give time to digest and discuss. And to give someone else a chance to post a game if there’s someone who’s been waiting for the chance
1p makes sense . it was an awesome game.
(in the future, should this come up again, is it enough to guess the game is pro lvl, or do we have to guess the exact pro rank? these ranks dont always reflect strength after all.)
I would imagine just saying it’s a pro game would be sufficient
Just as I thought (it’s why I asked if it were played here). I hadn’t realised we had p games here, I forgot about that Tourney.
Actually, there was a game that I wanted to post here, if it’s okay with you. (If not I can wait one more game to post the one I have in mind)
Have at it! I’m not in a hurry
Time settings: Fischer, starting at 4 min, +2 min with a cap at 8 min.
Given how tough some of the previous games were to guess, I figured I’d choose one where the ranking will be (relatively) easier to guess (think of it as a “bonus round” if you want )
23k
black played better than white in this game, but still made mistakes worthy of a beginner.
ill say 22kyu.
Let’s go 25k before anyone took the prized lowest rank
i haven’t really seen 20k+
i started go as 18k myself, lol
so yea, the first 20 moves probably better than my 18k initially, so i go with 16k for opening
but yea white couldn’t read ladder, so i go with 17k
final answer 17k!
17k should be able to read a ladder, no?
Not always.
Since, 23, 22, and 25 have been taken… I’ll take first dibs on 24kyu
In that case they should have been able to though. At least before playing as many stones into it as they did.
Thus my vote
I was just saying that not all ladders get noticed / read / played by 17th kyu players
Not necessarily at this speed (in general): 4 min, +2 min with a cap at 8 min.
Sure you wouldn’t expect 17k to keep playing one out though
Do you know many DDKs that take longer than 2 mins to consider their moves?
